Why it matters
A warm reply can feel good. It is also useful to notice whether the connection has movement from both sides: an invitation, a thoughtful adjustment, or a conversation you did not have to arrange. These are observable contributions, not proof of what someone secretly feels.
Effort does not need to look identical from both people. Availability, circumstances, and preferences can differ. The useful question is whether both people's contributions are understood and workable.
What it doesn't prove
One thoughtful action does not establish a lasting pattern. Equally, one busy week does not explain an entire connection. You can discuss the arrangement without withdrawing to see whether someone notices.
